Pakistan is currently standing at the darkest crossroad of its history, where the sacred courts of law have been brutally transformed into slaughterhouses for the innocent, operating at the behest of the military establishment. The state machinery is aggressively celebrating its recent statistics of disposing of court cases, but behind these shiny numbers lies a deeply sinister reality that the powerful circles want to desperately hide. What is being sold to the public and the international community as speedy justice is, in fact, a calculated and vicious campaign of political murders carried out by the Pakistan Army under the protective shadow of the justice system. The military establishment has hijacked the Constitution, turning the legal framework into a weapon of mass elimination against anyone who dares to speak the truth. Innocent citizens, political workers   and human rights activists are being crushed under this oppressive machinery while the state applauds its own efficiency. This is no longer a democratic republic run by elected representatives; it is a fascist regime operating under a slow, unannounced martial law, where the men in uniform act as the absolute judge, jury   and executioners.

The Facade of Speedy Justice and the Legalization of Political Murders

Because open military dictatorships are now difficult to sell to the modern world, the Pakistan Army has designed a new, sophisticated weapon: weaponizing the legal system to legally murder innocent people and political opponents. The recent statistics released by the Lahore High Court (LHC) serve as a terrifying proof of this new establishment strategy. Official state data proudly claims that the LHC decided 945 pending murder and capital sentence references, which involve death sentences and life imprisonment, in a short span of just 15 months between July 1, 2025   and September 30, 2026. These decisions, forcefully pushed under the banner of judicial reforms and overseen by Chief Justice Aalia Neelum, include 897 murder references and 48 capital sentence references. The state is pushing a massive propaganda campaign to praise this so-called "Aalia Neelum Model," boasting that the conviction ratio in heinous cases has been deliberately pushed up from approximately 22 percent to 34 percent. While bar leaders and government officials applaud this mass disposal of capital sentences as a victory for judicial efficiency that cleared a backlog of over 2,500 references, the bitter truth on the ground is entirely different. These fast-track courts are being heavily pressured and micromanaged by the military establishment to clear the way for the legal execution of dissidents. Cases registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act and other serious criminal laws are being aggressively used as a cover to eliminate those the establishment wants to permanently silence. By controlling the investigation shortcomings and dictating the police challans, the establishment is using the courts to stamp the death penalty on the oppressed, turning the judiciary into a mere rubber stamp for state-sponsored murders.

The Dictator in Uniform and His Civilian Puppet

The root cause of this ongoing destruction is the naked greed for absolute power harboured by General Asim Munir. He has completely paralysed the democratic institutions of the country to establish his one-man rule over a nation of 240 million people, treating the country as his personal fiefdom. Pakistan today presents a bizarre and humiliating spectacle to the global community, possessing the only army in the world whose military chief openly dictates foreign policy and the economy, shamelessly attending international diplomatic and political meetings alongside the country's civilian leadership. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been deliberately reduced to a helpless puppet, a mere civilian facade whose only job is to provide a democratic cover for the military's dictatorial and unconstitutional actions. General Asim Munir is pulling all the strings from behind the curtain, ensuring that every government department, bureaucracy   and cabinet minister bows to the strict dictates of the Rawalpindi establishment. This insatiable hunger for total control has blinded the military leadership to the suffering of the common people, pushing the country into an abyss of extreme lawlessness where the military uniform is the only law that truly matters and civilian supremacy is nothing but a cruel joke.

The Bleeding Wounds of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

While the establishment plays its dirty power games in the capital, the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) have been turned into bleeding execution grounds for the military's brutal experiments. The Pakistan Army and its intelligence agencies are committing unspeakable atrocities in these regions, totally suppressing public voices with extreme, unchecked violence. Innocent young men, teenage students   and elderly citizens are being subjected to a relentless wave of abductions, kidnappings   and extrajudicial killings. Independent human rights organizations documented that in just a single month, May 2026, there were 95 enforced disappearances and over 50 killings in Balochistan alone, with state agencies like the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and the Frontier Corps (FC) raiding homes in the dead of night to drag people away. Families are left crying on the streets, holding worn-out pictures of their loved ones, but the state responds with brute force and tear gas. These missing persons do not get a day in court; their mutilated bodies are later dumped in desolate mountainous areas, or they are killed in staged police encounters that the state desperately tries to cover up. The military is deliberately treating the citizens of Balochistan and KPK as enemies of the state, crushing their fundamental, constitutional right to live and speak freely on their own land.

The October 13 Crackdown and the Suppression of the Oppressed

The cruelty of this system is about to reach its absolute peak as the public's patience finally explodes against this tyranny. Driven against the wall by the continuous illegal abductions, enforced disappearances   and extrajudicial killings, the citizens have organized a massive, peaceful protest scheduled for 13 October 2026. However, because General Asim Munir and his military establishment absolutely do not want these oppressed people to be heard by the international community, they have unleashed a brutal wave of mass arrests across the country just days before the scheduled date. Police and intelligence agencies are breaking into homes without warrants, picking up organizers, activists   and completely innocent citizens to spread terror and sabotage the peaceful demonstration. This pre-emptive strike against a constitutionally protected peaceful assembly proves that the army is actively imposing its martial rule in a slow, suffocating manner, stripping the public of their fundamental right to protest. They are terrified of the public voice   and they are using the entire might of the state apparatus to ensure that the cries of the mothers of the missing persons are violently silenced before they can echo in the streets.

The Inevitable Collapse of a Blood-Stained Regime

The situation in Pakistan has crossed all boundaries of human rights violations and basic legal decency. What the state media aggressively peddles as civil-military harmony is actually the complete, humiliating surrender of the civilian government to a power-hungry military dictator. The rapid disposal of 945 capital cases by the judiciary over the last 15 months is not a glorious achievement of justice; it is a factory of state-sponsored murders operating smoothly under the guise of legal reforms. From the tortured bodies dumped in the mountains of Balochistan to the mass arrests happening in the streets ahead of the October 13 protests, the bloody fingerprints of General Asim Munir's brutal regime are visible everywhere. The people of Pakistan are standing barehanded against a ruthless military machine that uses its puppet politicians and compromised courts to crush any form of dissent. Until this vicious, illegal grip of the military establishment over the country's legal and political system is entirely broken, there will be no justice in Pakistan only a continuous, bloody trail of political murders legally sanctioned by a compromised state.
